The purpose of the organization is the advancement, stimulation, extension, improvement, and coordination of chemistry teaching at all educational levels.

Kansas Association of Teachers of Science (KATS) -- KATS is committed to the advancement, stimulation, extension, improvement, and coordination of science teaching in all fields at all educational levels.
