Scientist / Sr. Associate Scientist, Analytical Development

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Currently we are seeking an experienced analytical scientist to participate in analytical method development and characterization in support of bioprocess development and IND filings for the company’s MabPair monoclonal antibodies. This is a unique opportunity for a strong analytical scientist to contribute experimentally, as well as intellectually, to our novel antibody production platform.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • MS/BS degree in analytical chemistry, biochemistry or a similar discipline, with 3+ years of related biotechnology industry experience.
  • Fundamental understanding of protein chemistry and biology.
  • Experienced in using analytical separation techniques and characterization tools in support of protein/mAb manufacturing process development.
  • Excellence in data analysis, technical writing, and presentation.
  • Interpersonal skills leading to effective collaborative work with scientists in internal R&D organizations, as well as external collaborators.
  • QC and bioassay experience would be a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, execute, and implement experiments for analytical method development and testing independently under general direction.
  • Develop and execute different analytical methods, including HPLC/UPLC in different modes (reversed-phase, size-exclusion, ion-exchange, etc.), capillary electrophoresis (CE-SDS, iCIEF) and other relevant methods in support of CMC activities leading to IND filings.
  • Has mastery of laboratory techniques and troubleshooting skills within area of expertise.
  • Provide analytical support to protein/mAb process development, formulation, GMP manufacturing, and QC release of DS/DP.
  • Participate in the technology transfer of analytical methods to CROs/CMOs.
  • Present pertinent work internally and externally. Write technical reports, summaries, and protocols.
